Integrative Health Coaching:
In addition to straight-forward disease (diagnosis)-specific treatments (such as antibiotic for infection, steroid to calm irritation, freezing a wart, or removing a cancerous growth) patients with chronic or recurrent inflammatory skin conditions (photo-aging, hormonal acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, alopecia, etc) often benefit from addressing the possible root causes & contributing factors of the disease process.
Cutaneous (skin, hair & nail) manifestations of complex systemic conditions such as cancer (reactions to chemotherapy & radiation), diabetes, thyroid issues, peri-menopause and a wide array of autoimmune diseases (lupus, Crohn’s, etc) also require more thoughtful integrative & multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and manage effectively.
Integrative dermatologic care begins with simple yet profound understanding that skin is connected to everything else in the body. In this light, we may explore ways to identify and remedy possible disturbances in the Skin-Gut axis (diet, nutrition, food sensitivities, supplementation); the Skin-Brain axis (mood, stress management, sleep issues, hormonal changes, brain fog) ; last but not least, the Skin-Lung axis (environmental allergies, inhaled irritants, comorbidities like asthma & hayfever).
Medical Acupuncture
Gentle, non-pharmacologic option for managing chronic stress, sleep disturbance, hormonal imbalance (PCOS, Peri/Post-Menopause), gut health and general sense of well-being in the context of integrative approach outlined above.
Laser acupuncture is also available for patients who prefer needle-free treatment.
Aesthetic Procedures

*Ultherapy Prime - Non-Surgical Skin Tightening & Lifting:
The new generation Ultherapy Prime harnesses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production deep within the skin’s foundational layers. It lifts and tightens sagging skin around the brows, jawline (jowls), neck and decollete with gradual firming over 2-3 months and no downtime. Acupuncture provides gentle & effective pain management for a comfortable and relaxing experience. Visible improvement lasts up to a year or more for most of our patients.
*AquaGold Microinjection / Microneedling:
AquaGold Fine Touch procedure uses a sterile gold-plated micro-injection device with 1200-2400 microneedle channels to deliver customized formulas directly into the upper dermis. Formulations may include hyaluronic acid (Belotero), neuromodulator (Xeomin), amino acids/peptides, PDRN (Rejuran) - depending on the patient’s skin type and aesthetic goals. The ultra fine needles (500 micron diameter) create minimal trauma, yet boost hydration, smooth texture, tighten pores, and restore radiance - without any downtime.
*Neuromodulators (Botox / Xeomin):
Neuromodulators such as Xeomin & Botox temporarily relax targeted muscles of facial expression to soften lines and prevent new ones from forming. It is widely used for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet.
In contrast to outdated “frozen face” often produced by amateur injectors, advanced multilayered injection technique results in natural-looking and refreshed appearance while preserving facial expression.
Neuromodulator is also used to treat facial asymmetry, masseter hypertrophy (due to jaw clenching / teeth grinding), hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating), and chronic headaches.
Neuromodulator placed in strategic acupuncture points in addition to the classic “cosmetic” facial injection has been used successfully to treat patients with chronic headaches, who may not meet the criteria for “medically necessary” treatment and some patients who may have had sub-optimal response to the conventional medical injection protocol.
*Biostimulators (Dilute Radiesse / Sculptra / PRP)
Biostimulators stimulate natural collagen production to gradually restore lost volume and improve firmness. Natural lifting and firming results build subtly over several months and typically last 1 to 2 years - following 2 to 3 sessions, performed 6 weeks apart.
This is an excellent stand-alone procedure for patients seeking gradual, natural-looking, and long-lasting results that rely mostly on their own collagen response. Using the cannula (blunt-tip needle) technique minimizes the risk of bruising & potential complications, with little or no downtime.
Biostimulators also complement the Ultherapy Prime procedure to add subtle volume and to improve crepey skin quality (common concern with aging and weight loss +/- GLP-1 meds). Such combination biostimulatory treatments may be extended to upper arms & abdomen in addition to the face, neck and decollete.
Hybrid biostimulation technique (dilute Radiesse + HA filler such as Belotero +/- Xeomin) is also highly effective for improving crepey skin on the neck and the decollete.
*Fillers (Radiesse /Juvederm / Voluma / Volbella / Belotero):
Safe and natural-looking soft tissue augmentation is available using a variety of FDA-approved fillers. Commonly treated areas include cheeks, nasolabial (smile) lines, marionette lines, lips and the jawline. Using the cannula (blunt-tip needles) significantly reduces the risk of bruising & potential complications. Instant gratification with long-lasting rejuvenation is delivered with a refined artistic touch.
*Selphyl (PRFM) - Next Generation Platelet-Rich Plasma Rejuvenation
The Selphyl system produces Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) from the patient’s own plasma. It is an advanced form of PRP that traps platelets in a fibrin scaffold for sustained growth factor release over several days. Because PRFM removes nearly all red and white blood cell contaminants, it promotes collagen-driven repair and regeneration with minimal inflammation. A series of PRFM treatments may be performed to support hair restoration and skin rejuvenation (enhance elasticity, smooth texture, improve fine lines) - all from a small amount of patient’s own blood.
*K-Beauty- inspired PDRN (Rejuran) Rejuvenation
* Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation
Also known as “cosmetic” acupuncture, this natural and holistic treatment is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine which views the face (skin) as a reflection of inner health & well-being. Tiny needles are inserted into specific points on the face and body to improve skin tone and texture, increase blood flow and lymphatic drainage, and to support overall wellness (stress relief, hormone balance, better sleep, etc). Acupuncture sessions may be combined with Medical Facials (Diamond Glow & AlphaRet) to create a comprehensive 12 week program of mind-body rejuvenation.
*Diamond Glow (formerly SilkPeel Dermal Infusion):

*AlphaRet Professional Peel System
Patented retinoid, alpha hydroxy acid conjugate (AlphaRet) + Triple Acid (glycolic, lactic and salicylic) formulation is applied in-office to address mild to moderate photodamage, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, blemishes, uneven skin tone and dullness. A series of 3 to 6 monthly treatments provide significant improvement in overall skin tone, texture and radiance for patients with mild to moderate photoaging. *KTP-Diode Laser Treatment (blood vessels & brown spots)
KTP-Diode laser therapy selectively targets unwanted facial redness, visible capillaries, and brown spots with pinpoint accuracy. Treatment gently clears vascular lesions and superficial brown spots and restores more even skin tone with minimal downtime.
